The Scattered Flock is intended to become a map and clearinghouse for people who want to find local circles of believers without joining another institutional church.

Small and relational
Gatherings can begin around meals, study, friendship, practical help, family life, and honest conversation.
Locally responsible
Each household or local group is responsible for its own relationships, choices, safety, boundaries, and way of gathering.
What a gathering might look like
There is no required weekly service. One group may share dinner twice a month. Another may meet for study. Several families may help one another with children, work, repairs, illness, or care for aging relatives. A few men may meet regularly to discuss Scripture and responsibility. Women may form friendships that grow beyond the brief conversations possible in a church hallway.
The point is not to imitate Sunday morning on a smaller scale. The point is to allow fellowship to become part of ordinary life.
For those who are alone
You may be the only person you know who has left your church. You may still believe deeply and yet have no one with whom you can speak honestly. You may miss singing, meals, familiar faces, or simply having somewhere to go.
The clearinghouse is being designed for exactly that problem: to help scattered people discover that others are nearby.
For those ready to open a home
A gathering does not need a preacher, stage, budget, building, or program. It needs people who are willing to be responsible for one another and a place where conversation can happen safely.
As the network grows, this page can become the doorway to a searchable map of local groups and individuals seeking fellowship.
